About Davey

Davey Duarte is a multitalented and multifaceted performer whose passion for music spans a lifetime. Living in Maui since 2018 and currently based in Hana, Davey brings a unique blend of musical depth, stage experience, and genuine connection to every performance.

Originally from Orange County, California, Davey studied musical theater in college and spent several years in the early 2000s working as a small-time actor in Hollywood. Music, however, has always been at the center of his life. He learned to play guitar at the age of five and has been singing for as long as he can remember, growing up in a large family of singers and musicians and performing regularly in church from a young age.

Over the years, Davey has performed in multiple musical settings, including a rock band formed in 2014 where he sang and played bass. During that time, the band worked with multi-platinum producer Ross Robinson to write a 10 song album. Although the band later disbanded because Davey got married and started a family, he continued performing, returning to his musical roots while remaining active in his career as a creative director, developer (thexdigital.com) and a photographer/videographer (creativemaui.com).

In addition to music, Davey is also a professional creative director, app developer, photographer and entrepreneur, bringing a creative and disciplined approach to everything he does. He is happily married, a devoted father of four, and deeply connected to the Hana community.

Recently, Davey performed alongside legendary producer Bob Rock, delivering a Bon Jovi set while filling in for Richie Sambora at a New Year’s Eve 2026 event in Wailea. He has also shared the stage with Gretchen Rhodes and Mick Fleetwood. Today, Davey continues to perform locally across Maui.

On stage, Davey is an exceptional live performer who connects with the crowd, elevates the atmosphere, and delivers an experience that feels both powerful and personal.
